Received a job offer from both Amazon and Microsoft in US as account manager for their advertising business. Very similar compensation. Amazon ads seem more interesting and exciting and growing aggressively, whereas for Microsoft will be working mainly with Bing ads. However, Microsoft seems to have better work life balance and culture. Any insights on anyone working in these roles?

Lie about your salary lie about your specific interest in them lie about other offers LIE
Citing the excited interviewers, your in depth experience in a specific area which caused them to be interested, market/firm salary research,...
lol it's the best advice I ever got
Speaking of lying - be careful. Deloitte not only does background check but in lieu of doing it while you're still employed elsewhere they ask you for your pay stubs. Yup it's true. I suppose you could take your chances just a caution here from personal experience.
Now other offers is open game. But again comes down to your confidence level on what you're requesting and whether you're willing to not get it
You could also not disclose how much you make now if it's really low compared to what you're asking. You're under no obligation to answer if they ask, just say you'd like to be paid a fair salary because you'll be doing the same work and you're more than qualified

@D2 - good to know! I'm interviewing with a boutique shop, I don't think they'll get that crazy with it (hopefully) lol.
