I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?
I for one don't mind having I-9's outsourced. lol.
I think you’re focused on the wrong thing. It isn’t “remote” HR work that will be outsourced/offshored/AI’d. It is simple HR work. And it should be.
Are we setting ourselves up? I’ve heard outsourcing of some of the Big 4 lower level roles in the past few years and also possibility of AI being introduced. It would also make sense due to the high turnover they experience.
Big4 is already worldwide. I'm working contract and they had me apply for the perm position. I was screened by somebody (within the company) from another country. That's his role.
Good point. I think the metaverse will play a big role in future work environments.
I think outsourcing is the way everything is headed regardless. Ai will be following closely behind. I'm ok with some lower level things being outsourced, but it does eventually run the risk of taking jobs away from folks at the company.
