Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. When I got let go I was nervous to tell my wife, but she was super supportive. And my friends were too. You'd be surprise. It's not embarrassing, it happens to everyone.
I told my wife I got fired and she called me a loser :/
I'm looking at new apartments tonight (and I got a job after a week)
CD1 I hate your wife.
Just say you got laid off. Nobody will care. Think of it as an opportunity to find the perfect fit for you.
I don't think this post was meant for people to weigh in on whether or not the person was laid off/fired for a valid reason. Valid reason or not, it's hard to tell people that care about you or depend on you when you've hit such a major setback.
Yeah. I was surprised how supportive everyone was. You might feel there's a sense of shame that comes with losing your job, but that's all in your head; no one else sees that.
It happens more often that you think. Don't be embarrassed. Look at it as a new opportunity and let your folks know. AD1 is right- you'll be surprised at the support you are extended. Reach out to all your network groups and update your Linked in account ASAP. Good luck!
If you are in the ad business and haven't been let go, then there's something wrong. This business we're in has NO job security. But there is a difference between "fired" and "laid off". The latter has happened to me 3 times and it was always related to losing business or client cutbacks. Fired says you weren't up to the task. Why were you fired OP?
Someone once told me, if you haven't been fired at a job, you haven't been taking enough risks.
Be patient. Some ppl in the ad world is full of hypocrites. There is always supportive people who will help you.
If you got fired-fired, and not laid off, I hope there's a lesson learned in there for you. But you don't have to share all the details with everyone, you can decide how much to share with whom + everything everyone else said above.
I got laid off (group layoff), got a new job, and then got fired (supposed performance reasons) six months later. Those were some dark days. Everyone understood the layoff, and was super supportive. I mobilized quickly and got a job right away (should have waited for the right opportunity). The second job I had was a bad fit from the start and triggered the worst anxiety I had experienced in a professional setting. By the time I got fired, those in my inner circle already knew I was miserable and were not surprised. I think most people will have experienced it at least at one point in their lives. You can't do anything about what happened, but how you come back from it is the measure of your character. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about what happened, and focus your energy on doing whatever it takes to get back on your feet.
CD1 That is fuuuuuuucked up
Or were you laid off? Whatever, what was the reason?
Yeah, I don't know about that being valid in general^
👆🏼Yeah, I'd rethink that sentiment.
