Asking because I felt I was treated poorly in previous company, so I left on not the best terms. Previous director may know my current director. Thanks for the feedback, feeling pretty hopeless
Hey OP, I personally feel like this would be a stretch situation unless your previous manager/employer doesn’t have good people skills and goes and talks about you behind your back. Majority of employers don’t talk about performance issues at all with new employers, even if they knew each other. For liability and morality reasons.
Generally it would be considered inappropriate and unprofessional to complain about more junior employees in your situation, OP. I'm sure there are people that do this but I would think the people who don't do this are far greater in number. Plus, mature employers understand that sometimes it just doesn't work out between an employer and employee unless the said employee has a history of short term employments in the resume. In which case, u wouldn't have been hired in the first place.
Dude, think about this. What kind of pettiness, hatred and simply time would a Director level person have to have to pick up the phone and risk their reputation as a professional to complain to their competitor about an analyst?
