How do you all plan your meals and eat healthy during intense weeks? One of my biggest issues is forgetting to prep a meal or forgetting to eat entirely, which means I end up scarfing McDonalds at 11pm and get angry with myself later.

I eat the same things over and over. Same protein smoothie every single day except weekends, same yogurt/cottage cheese snack on hand, order a healthy salad from the same lunch place

For forgetting to eat, you could set a timer or calendar reminder for the same time every day

Make meal prep a big thing rather than a small thing. It’s actually a good way for my ADHD to relax. We spend 3-4 hours on Saturday or Sunday making soup or chili. Turn on good podcasts and spend an hour or two chopping vegetables and an hour or two stirring a pot. Chopping vegetables while listening to something good is incredibly gratifying. If you don’t know how to chop properly, buy a decent knife and cutting board. Watch YouTube videos that show you how. It’s so f****g zen.

Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

Can anyone offer advice for helping with adderall side effects? I was diagnosed a few months ago and I am new to medication. I have been taking 20 mg xr in the morning but have a terrible crash around 2/3pm each day where I just get very very tired. Doctor recommended 10mg ir mid day to combat but I still experience pretty severe fatigue as a side effect. Just wondering if anyone has found any natural strategies to cope or mitigate. Thanks!

One of my frustrations with myself (writing it out here so I can work on it) is that I will print out something that I need, such as a traffic collision report. I will read it without actually reading it. This results in spending time without actually retaining info. Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone work in an area with lots of exterior environmental noise (traffic, concerts, trains, etc.) and have tips for not becoming overwhelmed and/or distracted by it? I’m finding that environmental noise has increased near my office now that tourism has picked back up in my city, and I’m struggling to block it out. I’ve tried earplugs but the noises tend to vibrate my office building so the earplugs don’t work well as an entire block.
