Pretty young and hip if you're near Lake Carolyn. Celanese, Wells Fargo (Building large campus), Accenture, and other HQ/regional offices near. Great location for both airports. Near DART if needed. I lived in one of the apartments near the lake, and there are a lot of young professionals or college students.
Totally agree with all of this. 30F, no kids, married, and we love being by the lake. So much entertainment close by! Currently enjoying seeing the Christmas DART pass by every night 🚆🎄
38 year old with 2 kids and I love it. Still miss being in Dallas-proper, but it’s close enough and I drive in every day.
I’d be ok with driving in honestly.
nice developing area for young singles, not too much entertainment besides TMF but there’s still things to do and you’re close enough to the city for more activities
Couldn’t pay me to live there as a 25 year old.
Expensive and sterile. Lots of young professionals live there.
I’m in the lake Carolyn area of Las Colinas - renting a 3 br. Easy commute to downtown (office) and to the airport (client)since it sits in the middle of both. Restaurants and bars in walking distance. Highly recommend
I’m 28 and I like it! Close enough to Dallas and it’s not as congested.
Las Colinas is definitely safer. Good security and way lower crime than Dallas, which is awful in Dallas if you don’t live in a gated community.
Lowkey boring ngl
That’s the Lake Carolyn area but if you look at Las Colinas proper/Royal and MacArthur that whole area has a lot to offer. Also depends if you’re the party type but I wasn’t anyway so I loved it when I lived out there. Wish I could move back
I mean, as someone living in the city, reasonable drive to me is within 10 mins. I basically uber everywhere and sold my car. It's awesome. But def depends what you are wanting to pursue (stay home, start a fam, focus on work or go out) mostly.
I live in the lower greenville area and would highly recommend it. 13 mins from downtown but very much feel like suburbs

Los Colinas is very family oriented but there are younger people too I think? I mostly see families whenever I’m out there
Born and raised in Las Colinas. It’s a beautiful area that had some highly innovative design back in the 80s. The recent developments, while necessary to bring new life into the area, have gravely missed the mark.
General city planning has been lackluster at best. What could’ve have been a highly, highly convenient and walkable area was overrun by cookie cutter apartment complexes with very little in between. All this was soured by a lack of entertainment and accessibility to basics such as grocery stores.
That being said, Los Colinas remains one of the best places to live if you’re active and want access to nature in the DFW. The nearby trail networks are some of the best, and it’s hard to beat some of the local gyms (e.g. Las Colinas country club, the Four seasons).
Have you checked out Addison? It's a pretty cool area also.
I do like las colinas though.
I actually haven’t. I’ll look into that area
I hear good things about las colinas … but they all have kids
Ahhh ok ok
