I don’t get it why people post things like “I’m 28 and have a net worth of 2 million”… what is the purpose of posting and bragging about your net worth without and constructive comments or suggestions? Most wealthy people I know are very humble as mentioned in books like the Millionaire Next Door, but If you want to state how rich you are, then maybe at least give some comments or recommendations on how you achieved that wealth to help others do the same.

On this bowl it is most likely to be a point of context for discussion. I haven’t seen any posts like that with no further questions/discussion. Everyone is at different stages on their path to FIRE. Just focus on your progress.

That’s awesome, congrats! Any advice for a 24 year old making 300k on capital allocation?

I’m “only” at 150k net worth but missed a lot of the covid market climbs and have not had much success in the markets.

I think posting anonymously in a forum specifically dedicated to that type of discussion is quite different from bragging outwardly irl.

100%. Its rude to discuss these things IRL. I love this bowl because hearing success stories is so motivating to me

I don’t take it as a brag. It’s an inspiration, also this kind of chat group with people having relatively better understanding can be a safe space to shout loudly’ I did it!’ Sharing a good news without being personally judged is always helpful for one’s mental health. Because we are technically strangers but with a common pure goal. That’s exactly one of why your millionaire neighbor shut their mouths and stay low key. Whether the person shares how to is up to the audience. You can DM. Importantly, I am sure 28/2M has a goal of 38/10M etc so it’s still way behind from his/her custom target.

16 and 24m net worth 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Yes, I wouldn’t take it as a rag either. Usually people in this bowl actually follow up that preface with legitimate questions about other things they are thinking about doing with their money want want to bounce ideas off the wall anonymously.

Scores consider the number of accounts that are paid as agreed. Your score was impacted because the number of these accounts is too low, or because you've missed payments recently on some of your accounts.
