Have been getting comments like “we haven’t seen you in so long”. Also I find myself very annoyed when I am with people but not mentally refreshed enough to be there. I get short fused. Eek how can I recharge while on the road and set myself up for a good weekend?! I WANT to spend time w the people I love.

Maybe try one weekend on, one weekend off. As in, for one weekend tell everyone “I am exhausted from the week, need some me time to recharge.” And then chill out all weekend, watch tv, workout, take a old walk, whatever works for you. And then have the next weekend be the social weekend where you make 1-3 social appointments.

I usually recharge on Friday and Saturday and then try to hang out on Sunday. I try and avoid doing too many dinners during the week, which isn’t always easy.

Can you recharge in small groups? That maybe an option as well to hang out with 1-3 people at a time so it’s less draining

Great suggestions thank you! I also have a problem saying no and then get too booked up. Need to just set boundaries on # of things to say yes to. This wknd I had a Friday HH and dinner, Sat baby shower and then high school reunion, and Sunday Greek Easter. I’m EXHAUSTED and cranky

What do you all do to make non-professional / personal connections? Particularly with the Coronavirus, and being in domestic relations, I wake up, go to work, work out, go home. So outside of law, my interactions with people are only at the gym given that my area is draining— particularly at the moment. We get it, ghosting happens. But has it ever happened to you repeatedly by the same person? Cashmere Agency in LA calls me relentlessly and then ghosts me just as relentlessly. Sales Force has done it two or three times as well. I can’t help but laugh and think about how it feels like getting a text from an ex—this didn’t work out before remember? It’s only been a month I’m still me.

How do you deal with parental guilt when you have to miss things? When my child was a baby it wasn't as big of a deal as long as I was around for the big stuff and was pulling my weight parent wise.
