I have been trying to track my eating and increase my activity and exercise more. I'm 50 now and still have a young child. My work (and hobbies) can be physically demanding as well. I definitely feel age creeping in and want to keep going as long as possible. What are your motivations for staying healthy?

My other half (currently a Sr. Mgr in the data analytics consulting industry in UK) wants to work in Singapore - is there some sort of parents' visa so that his parents can tag along to stay in SG for the long term? Worried about them as he is the only child. His parents have the money to buy a condo if it helps with their long term stay situation.

Opinions on career clerkships? Especially with a two year old and wanting another child eventually.

Last year when Covid broke, I received a couple of interview calls but ignored them as I felt the organization kept me at work when other companies cut short their HR staff so I should be with them even if with no appraisal. But now, I was living in the fool's paradise when I am told to leave with no job offers in hand, car and home loan, dependent parents, expecting jobless spouse with a 3-year old kid.

Last night I went over to my friends house (she has 2 kids, 2 and 4 yo). She and her husband were asking me about my pregnancy and planning. And were asking what I’ve prepped to date. I’m only 13w2 days so I think it’s way to early for buying stuff, but I did mention we hired a baby nurse for when the baby comes. My friend completely berated me, short of calling me a bad mom already, saying “what is she going to do all day? Don’t you want to bond with your child?”. I’m so upset by this.

My father had a sever case of Covid and he made it out successfully. I’m very grateful for this. Close to a year down the line, I’m finding that he is having severe memory loss issues and can’t remember significant details. Has anyone experienced or is experiencing this? I broke up with my EX mainly because the relationship with my child and her was not the best, it sucks but I have to look out for my child, So far I am able to do the things I can do now. It is not the I am not Hoeing around but the simply fact that I can hang out with friends and go watch my son play baseball is a great feeling now. I like having liquid assets since I support currently myself & girlfriend and any unexpected expenses my mother & younger brother have. Any advice how to calculate what I should keep on reserve vs. invest + learn about consequences of pulling investments early (more tax, fees, etc.). 529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Need advice. Have some credit card debt that I’ve been working to pay off. Have made progress but want to lower it quickly. We have dual income, with a house (~$300k in equity), 1 kid and 1 on the way. I’ve looked into debt consolidation via HELOC but also have ~$80k in vested equity in my company that I haven’t touched. Get equity refreshes every year. Would it be smarter to cash out $15k-$20k of that to pay debt vs. a HELOC at ~5% given that will still require mthly payments

I know everyone will have different answers for this but how did you know it was time to get sober? I think it might be time for me to find a new job and pursue sobriety, but I don't feel like I'm a rock bottom which is the only time I've ever seen people really commit to it (my father). Apathy isn't the right word but I just kind of feel numb about everything and I think being sober would maybe help.
