I don’t think there’s really much value in a course for a role like this.
This. When I switched into pre-sales, I didn't really know how to do the job. For the first 3-4 weeks, I split my time between reading documentation & learning about the product, and shadowing colleagues in calls and meetings. Just watching how other people talk about the job, the product, etc.
If you use a tool like Gong at the office, that's great, too, because you can flag calls that you think represent a good discovery conversation, a good pitch on a given feature or use case, an excellent demo, or a well-handled objection. The new hire can go as deep as they like, listening to past calls and taking notes on how others in their role do the job.
Beyond that, does your team follow any specific sales methodology? Because there are plenty of books and videos and whatnot espousing this or that approach. Find a few
