I was laid off this morning because of corporate restructuring. If I immediately start working for a competing business in the same city, can I get in trouble? I need to pay my bills, and they let me go, so I feel like I should be able to work wherever I can find a job. I don't remember signing an NDA or non-compete, but I want to make sure I won't face other legal issues. Can I get sued for taking a job with a direct competitor?

I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. I have Product Manager interviews starting next week at Google. Does anyone have tips they’d be willing to share? I interview well, I’ve done some prep, and I know the field, but I still have a bit of imposter syndrome and overall nervousness nipping at my edges.

I have been giving interview from last 2 months and yet I haven't got a single offer and people here are getting multiple offers. Even if interview goes nice, I would get rejection mail.

I guess Luck matters a lot even if you perform well. There would be always someone who will do better than you.

Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.
