If I give a CSR less than a perfect score on a survey, is that bad for them? How do companies use those surveys? I usually don't take the time to do them at all. But if I do, I don't want to hurt someone unless they did something really egregious.

I can only say in our organization, we moved to a simple Yes/No scale for customer satisfaction surveys, and even before we saw anything with a value of 8,9,10 as positive, so less than perfect is acceptable if there is cause. We used them for overall department wide customer satisfaction scores, and they weren’t used for annual reviews

The surveys are there so managers can make sure to provide coaching if they notice a pattern with the rep. And honestly, some reps need the coaching. But when someone takes time out of their day to say something nice for someone else, yes it helps their job metrics, but it also really uplifts their day.

I think that sometimes surveys are designed as well to be tricky and have to admit, unfair. On my "Amazing" work I have a Yes and No survey. The problem comes with the question, that says "Did I solve your problem?" and in most cases no, we don't.

need advice.

I have been working in an interim role as a portfolio manager. I was promised that the role would be mine. However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same.

Its a political minefield.

How should I back out elegantly that I need to be compensated fairly and competitively from this mess without burning any bridges

Growing up was rough. On my 8th birthday my dad had an accident that led to this death a few days later. He was a good man who took care of us all (I had 3 siblings now 2; lost 1 few years ago). I'm in a good place in life right now I only find myself in the last 5years shedding a tear once a while when I'm alone. It startles me because I was a tough kid who didn't cry and just soaked it all in and rolled with it. I'm almost 40 and can't explain what's happening with these tears.

Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website:
Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.
