I think it's only natural that, with the higher maths, that we as teachers need to review what we haven't seen/studied in years
I taught Algebra I for years, and I'm teaching geometry this year (this time as a special ed teacher, though). Use your colleagues to the fullest; collaborate with them, since they are used to teaching it. It'll all come back. Just make sure that you're all prepared before the lesson starts, especially before observations. YouTube (and textbooks) is a godsend in those instances when you can't remember how a topic works
It's also OK, every once in a while, to tell the student that you're not sure and get back to them later, especially if they ask an unexpected question
It's only natural to feel that way from time to time. Doesn't mean you're any less of an educator. I have found that Khan Academy is a great resource for relearning formulas and techniques
Approach each item like you would want your student to. What do we know about this? Are any of the things we know related?
How much time do you have to prepare before you start the more complicated math lessons? The only choice you have is to read, review, and practice as much as you can. Try not to be too hard on yourself, before you know it, it will just feel like a review.
To be honest, this is one of the reasons I stick to elementary level education. I dread higher level math. But, I wish you all the best!
