I lost 15 lbs...stopped eating out/take out. Thats all I needed

My bf gained 20 and I lost 15. I lost weight bc the Dr. scared me with cholesterol, high blood pressure, liver diseases, diabetes and a whole bunch of other stuff. Cutting back on alcohol, fried food, fast food, little to no cholesterol or saturated fats has helped me lose weight. I need to do cardio (only do it the week before I see the doc 😹), but most of the weight loss has been from changing my diet.

Quinoa is really good for you, I need to figure out how to cook it. I do use brown rice, but my doc did say to try to cut back and balance it with more veggies. So like a 1/3 rice, 1/3 veggies and 1/3 chicken or other protein (no red meat). If you haven’t tried it yet, I recommend the cauliflower rice and broccoli rice to substitute rice. They’re super quick to cook, are veggies, they fill you up and have less carbs than brown rice.

Lost 15 lbs because i no longer have access to leftover food from catered meetings

I lost 5 lbs and that is a big reason! Also, more sleep and more time to workout!
Up 50+ since starting at big 4. Down 15 since covid just cutting out takeout. Stagnated. Working out on the stationary bike and dieting to get back to where I was before all this. Not letting up this time.

A1, do you not think EY2 knows this? Do you ignore all context?
Keep it up, EY2, you got this!!

Who cares? You no longer have to wear pants to work these days

I lost 18 pounds post-COVID since I can’t eat other people’s lunches out of the common area fridge anymore.....yeah, I’m that guy.
Up 10 😤
I hope you’re quite tall, else you’re increasing your risk re covid for no reason (and a myriad other things)
I’m 6ft: current weight 205 lbs
I’m down 14 lbs (female) because of lifestyle changes. I cook more & exercise more. I drink less and eat less fatty foods. It is not easy but it is worth it! I have more energy and am less depressed than I used to be.
Appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. At first I lost about 10 lbs by June but gained it all back and then some. For me, I was doomed when I started getting takeout again after 3 months of literally no human contact ... and ice cream because it was 100 degrees out for three months lol. Back on track now, thankfully. You can do it!

Same here
Seriously, who is wearing work pants?
Start ordering boxed meals - I do freshly. Stop drinking during the week.
I’ve lost 5 pounds. Not a lot by other people’s comments but an achievement. Like others I’m not eating out at lunch or going to happy hours or other events. It does make a difference. Also doing at home workouts, walking more because have the time by not commuting or traveling.

You can have mine. Down 10lbs since daily walks with the puppy and not eating out 10 meals a week.
