Just wrapped up a fast-moving interview process for a Solutions Engineer/Architect role. Made it to the panel, but the feedback was lack of technical proficiency. I’ve never used their platform directly, though I’m skilled in a competitor product. With more prep time, I could’ve showcased my technical depth. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you close the gap for next time?

Finally, my new manager and all the leaders on the team are supportive of my promotion.
