My manager switches between saying things like "this should only take 5 minutes" and "you need to double or triple check everything" 😒☹️

I would communicate how long you expect everything to take/how long it is taking you. So for example, if he/she says it’ll be quick, I would say something like - “sounds good. I am going to give this a careful proof after completed, so can turn it around in an hour”

likehelpful

I just hesitate to try to say things like this because I know a verbal tear town is around the corner. "an hour ? I could do this in 20 minutes? Do we need to work on your time management?" etc

like

Sounds typical. How is this impacting your ability to get your work done? Is this an issue you need to raise with them?

My work has received positive feedback from my peers and the VP we all report up to. I'm not asking for praise, but even an acknowledgment of good work from my current manager would be nice

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Nonetheless I think we can generally say finance/professional services etc. reward "type a" habitudes on its face.

Thought it could be fun/funny/supportive to share experiences as the chiller brains in these anxiety-fueled fields.

What is the average salary for an Account Manager position? For context, the agency is 100% remote and doesn’t base salary based on the employee’s location. Was originally told $80k but was then informed the recruiter made a mistake and that it will likely be mid-70s at the highest.

Hi everyone,

I'm going for a role for Account Director and have gone through the interviews with the head of accounts, BD as well as the ECD's. I received the following email at the end of the day:

"You are one of two candidates in the final round.

One thing we haven’t spoken about are your salary expectations. Could you have a think and let me know early next week as well as your employment status (residency permit)."

What would be the best way to answer this response? Appreciate the help
