My new boss asked me to join him and a few other co-workers this Saturday for a "company" golf outing. Which leads me to two concerns. Firstly, do I downplay my skills and put in around 75% effort so I don't intimidate the higher-ups, or do I go all out? I want to get invited back. Secondly, how do I go about explaining to my wife that I won't be going with her to visit her parents this weekend...

Am I particularly uptight, or is writing meant to be done alone, without a partner talking to you? With past partners, we chat through script notes and then I go off to execute. Current partner likes to sit and chat as I write. To me, writing is crafting a conversation. So I can’t talk to you and simultaneously talk to this audience. Of course I can just say “I’m gonna go write.” But since we’re both CD level, I’m like…is this his first rodeo? Maybe other writers are different though.

Can I still work as a telemarketer even though I have a noticeable accent? People don't say they can't understand me but they seem relieved when they get to talk to somebody else. Taking some golf lessons, got a women’s starter set I got to make sure I liked golf first. Instructor mentioned that the driver is like swinging a wet noodle for me lol and I should look into a men’s or one with stiffer flex. I have no idea what to look for. Are the people at Dicks Sporting Goods knowledgeable or worth driving the 40 min to PGA store?

I often get teamed up with male golfers as not many ladies play in my area. I feel like they feel awkward (cause they get silent around me, only saying good shot when I make a good shot) and so I start feeling awkward too, and it negatively impacts my game. Is it just in my head?

I went birdie/par on holes 1 & 2 today. Instantly became delusional that I’m going to shoot under par for the round. Followed it up with two doubles and shot a 98. Humbling game. 😂
