You're sick, you need rest. You can try to fight through it, but that will just make you feel worse. Let your boss know your symptoms and go from there. Since you have a fever, you really shouldn't be around other people and you need to rest. Take some acetaminophen and stay hydrated.

You just need to let others know you’re sick. The good news is the trip is 10 days. Hopefully, you can load up on meds and recover in a day.

IMO, it’s 2 bad options, but the damage you could do from showing up a shell of yourself is worse than the damage you could do (which may be none) from taking 1-2 days in your hotel room to recover.

Rest for 3 days. These first 3 days take: vit D, Vit C, zinc acetate (or cold-eeze logenses) . You should feel better after that. I would not fight through the firstvdays, will last longer

Also if you can’t find a place to get those vitamin/hydration ivs….then remember just drinking water won’t get you there. You’ll need electrolyte. If traveling you can get Gatorade and pretzels to help that along….

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. I sent the bills with a cover letter to Aetna via certified mail. I am having so much trouble getting a status on said claim. Does anyone here have experience with that and can assist me? Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Misled on Maternity Leave Policy. I found out I only get 4 weeks pay for maternity leave (STD +“sick days”). I will take 12 weeks but wont get paid for 8 weeks. I work for a US, west coast based company in the tech/VC industry. Their website claims to offer “paid parental leave and other progressive benefits for parents”. I didn’t find out until after I was hired their pay was only 8 weeks but since I have been at the company less than 12 months, I don’t qualify for their policy. Is this unfair?

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here it goes. In your experience, how much does a PRODUCT owner makes in bay area / San Diego in a medical device company? If I get the job pay will start around 120k at a large company with room for growth. If I stay in PA school I will have around 120k in debt and will probably work in vascular surgery. What would you do? It’s literally the second week of school for me, I have my 3rd interview for the job next week

I honestly struggle with the politics of Afghanistan. It does appear that after 20 years we leave and within months it goes back to very similar or on its way. It’s not the US job to be the world police we did try to build coalitions and fail at the end of the day unless we’re willing to keep troops there forever which most Americans don’t want to I am not sure what the right thing to do is. And I’m sick of criticism just for the sake of the president. I don’t think there’s a perfect solution

Had a really bad day 😞 I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. Things will be going well and then out of nowhere I get blackout drunk. I am tired of feeling sick and anxious from drinking. I don’t really even want to drink sometimes but do it anyway. Blacked out last night, and still feel sick now. I’ve never shared with anyone that I have this problem, until I found this message board. I have so much anxiety that I won’t be able to get this under control. I feel isolated and sad.
