So I was laid off in Jan and like others have been searching for a new role. As a BIPOC senior creative what I’ve found startling is that every US based Sr. CD, GCD, ECD, or CCO role (Agency/In-house) that I’ve applied for/interviewed for (and gotten rejected) , was filled by a white male with maybe a few white females. Overwhelmingly so, like 99.999%. I’m talking probably 50+ roles. So I guess all that DEI and advocacy has really helped move the needle. 🙄

Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

Latinx - help! We used this term in our diversity spotlight discussing Hispanic Heritage Month. One individual said that in English a group of Latinos would just be Latins to be gender neutral. I understand the word is controversial but is “Latins” grammatically correct? I assume we should just say Latin Americans, but trying to understand if Latins is also accurate.
