Do you think you’ll want two kids really close together or 3+ years apart? That’s really the main decision, if you need one that can convert to a double (uppababy vista or mockingbird) or not (nuna). Also budget, the ones I mentioned are pricey. I personally got my stroller (nuna) second hand on Facebook marketplace for 50% off and it’s lasted me 3 kids. Car seat you should buy new.
Anything you pick should last a long time, even a budget pick like a Graco etc. so I wouldn’t worry about longevity.
Also just buy one everyday stroller to start. You’ll figure out if you need a jogger or travel size way later down the road. And then I also recommend fb marketplace.

Yep or they have attachments they can stand on if they get tired of walking. And at 2.5-3 they’d rather be in a tricycle etc. even if it’s a push one.
I got a Nuna Pipa car seat and the Nuna Swiv stroller, which work great for me — they work seamlessly together, the stroller is a one handed fold and folds small and lightweight enough for our 1100 sq ft house while still being sturdy enough for everyday use. They are pricey though. They were a gift from my in laws. I believe Nuna has the same manufacturer as Joie if you’re looking for a similar thing at a more affordable price point.
We did Doona for year 2 and bugaboo butterfly after that. That’s it.
If you plan on having second child close to your first then get a stroller that carry two. Uppababy vista or bugaboo kangaroo are great options. Nuna pipa aire rx is the best car seat and compatible with your strollers
Personally I've had the graco and it does the job just fine. I like my stroller and the carseat clicks in and out easy
I personally love the mockingbird stroller with the bassinet attachment. It grows with your child and family, and I use the Chico bravo for my car seat/stroller combo. What stands out for mockingbird from the rest is that the bassinet attachment can face toward you so you can see your baby and the second seat can face outward for an older child who may be interested in looking out/forward. This was a big selling point for me.Thankfully was gifted both via our registry and it’s been amazing alternating between the two. I really wanted the bassinet so I didn’t have to worry about my little one being in the car seat too long especially for walks.
