What's driving you to work so hard?
Hi all,
Does your organization have a good work-life balance, especially for IDs? Or do you know any such organisation? Currently I am working for more than 12 hours a day. I am a mother of one year old, hence, want to switch to the organization, which has less work pressure.
Wil be grateful to you for the suggestions. Accenture Cognizant MindTickle Encora IBM Infosys

This is the best kind of LEK post
“We don’t have to get permission to leave, we just need to ask before we can be dismissed”
Y’all ever considered…idk… Not pinging your teams at midnight?
Dismissed? We’re not in high school anymore lol
Pretty much this. If you as an adult cannot treat me as an adult, we're done here. No second chances; this relationship is over right now. No amount of abuse is worth any amount of money.
We 100% need to do this and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Maybe 10% of projects I actually had a good C who operated differently, but this is the norm and one of the many reasons why working at LEK is terrible
It's crazy - people usually either have prestige/recognition with no WLB or WLB with no prestige. LEK somehow has the worst of both 😂
You think LEK has no prestige? I’d say outside of MBB it has some of the better pay and prestige
“You don’t need to ask for permission to log off, you just need to get the ‘feel free to log off ping’ at midnight or later” 🙄 🙄
OP is a nut job for putting it the way they did but I agree to some degree. It always kinda made sense to me of asking “hey do we need to do anything else today?” Call it poor planning but I just like knowing there’s no extra work to do. Also it’s never really been an issue, Cs/Ms always very respectful or honest (“it’s gonna be a late night… have client meeting tomorrow and they asked for XYZ” or “course, see you tomorrow”)
LEK self-owns are 🤌🏼

Ok - I genuinely can’t tell if these posts are just a running satire or HR at LEK just has nothing else in their bag so they just keep swinging?
Lmao y’all take for granted that LEK’s entire HR team can be counting on one hand. I remember when the one and only IT guy in Chicago quit last year and two hours later we get an office wide email that all IT support will be unavailable until further notice

Flip side - as a client do I get to run the team I am paying for into the ground with scope creep but no cost overrun? Or do leaders actually know how to manage clients?
first year partner is 500k base i believe, after junior partner status it becomes a sales job afaik, some partners easily make multiple $M

That’s a distinction without difference.
It’s funny how OP is trying to flip this to a positive and it’s just making it worse lol
I’m pretty sure it’s intentionally mocking the people that come on here and claim this isn’t part of our culture
Notifying your teammates when you log off is basic professional courtesy. But so is not pinging your teammates at midnight 😃

Does LEK pay tip tip bonuses for strong performance and advance quicker than other firms? Truly trying to find the value prop.
I think our compensation gets close to MBB, but only if the stars align. For a 2nd year, you need to get 5/5 performance on both of the semi-annual review cycles to get the full $10k bonus (4/5 will get you $5k, 3/5 will get you $1k). Then you also need the firm wide profit share to be favorable (max is 15%, last year was 0%).
You can see how somebody would be tricked by the $140k on their offer letter, when in reality they may only get $111k.
Even with all that, I think our 4 year path from undergrad hire to post-MBA equivalent level is on the longer end (most of my friends in IB have 2 to 3 year analyst programs).
And that’s better…how?
I, personally, do not ask for more work after about 4 pm

Is plug in a euphemism. I wouldn’t like to get plugged in my by boss.
Well it's courtesy telling your EM that you're logging off but I will never expect to be pinged at midnight if I didn't!
