It’s also beneficial for you, because once you’re officially dismissed, you don’t have to worry about getting pinged with new tasks. If you don’t confirm with your supervisor there’s nowhere left to plug in (and they don’t say “feel free to log off”), then you’re on the hook to get pinged, since they assume you’re online, even if it’s 12am.

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

Married to a crazy rich girlfriend and it's the worst experience of my life. She can afford anything, flying first class everywhere, wears all branded stuff and she doesnt have to work for life. I am working very hard to provide for family and I am still not able to add any value to her life and she's been distancing herself.
