What should I enter for expected pay rate when applying for an Senior Underwriting Assistant/BA/Technical Assistant in the E&O/Cyber sector with 5 years of sector experience?

How long is it taking to hear back from companies (Accenture, Deloitte etc.) after applying with referral? Is it quicker because of great resignation or still the same amount of waiting time?

I have been giving interview from last 2 months and yet I haven't got a single offer and people here are getting multiple offers. Even if interview goes nice, I would get rejection mail.

I guess Luck matters a lot even if you perform well. There would be always someone who will do better than you.

I am getting demotivated, but have to continue trying hard.

I really wish luck could be on my side.

Interviewing for Cyber Sec role. At very beginning they ask salary exp. I said usual way to postpone that question, and to figure out their range for role. On final interview and I mentioned 85-95k and they said it’s on the lower end for role…. Did I lowball myself?

Has anyone been given an offer or received further movement on their application after a month or more from your last interview? Not sure if it’s odd that the company reached out after my final round interview to have a call and “discuss next steps” but then they haven’t responded to me since I’ve followed up (I’ve poked 3 times every 11 days or so but I plan to leave it be now until they respond).

I’m so grumpy about new campus hires. Sometimes I’m judgmental (your hobby is “working on your golf swing,” really?). Sometimes I’m just exhausted by the worried earnestness. Sometimes I’m amazed that they seem to have zero useful skills, yet they’ll be making 150k easily in the not too distant future.

I burst into tears Friday as I said goodbye to the best TA ever! She is now a kindergarten teacher in another district. It took me an hour to get over it and I know the other teachers and admin thought I was crazy. Change happens. But when there are no subs available and no one has an answer for Monday….what will I do? 18 students are 10 to many for me to teach by myself. In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up?
