I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

Buy two tequilas, and slide the salt toward them. Now they’re wondering if it’s a test. Boom, you’re in the driver’s seat.
Delightful.
I wouldn’t. Even if they do. It could be a test.
Well, there’s a difference between ordering Amstel Light and Long Island Ice tea.
If they do, of course. If not, no way.
European here. If you drink alcohol, follow their lead. If someone offers you a drink they are breaking the ice. It’s not a trick or a test. If you don’t drink, it’s ok to say no and you don’t have to give a reason. Doesn’t matter if you are training for a marathon, are clean, or Mormon or pregnant. No good boss is going to question you, force you or judge you. And bosses, don’t use interviews in restaurants and bars as an excuse to get lively on expenses. You will be a bad judge of a candidate on that second Martini.
Completely agree. Let the interviewer go first. Of they come to you first to order don't order a drink.
If they order a drink then sure order something. But it’s always good to stay sober during an interview 🤷🏻♀️ Just a thought
Is that a test people do? I wouldn’t drink unless they do, and you’re 100% confident you can hold your booze
Yes. I ain’t workin for squares
Once I heard a story about someone being taken out for an interview at a bar, over a drink or two. It didn’t work out, they didn’t get the job. The person being interviewed ended up suing the company as they said they were a recovering alcoholic and this put them back on the wagon. Ended up settling for a six figure sum. Just a thought for those conducting interviews this way!

I’m not sure why it’s such a big deal. I wonder what your ages are and if it’s a generational thing. I’m 38.
Yes I am bc I’m a grown up and they are too.
Hahaha I figured as much. I personally never have but when they do I’ve just always wondered like...should I?
Nope
If all your friends jump of a bridge...
Ironic mocktail
Hell no. U crazy. They typically don’t want peeps drinking during a workday. Even if they drink.
Um yes! I’m not going to be someone I’m not at an interview. Besides, agency people are generally drinkers anyway. Just look at the bar tab when everyone goes for “celebratory drinks” after an account win.
🙄
I would totally order a wine if they did first. Probs wouldn't be the first to order one though.
