Anyone. Who switched from Tech consulting to Product base like FANG ? Tech consulting Max pay for an associate is around 10-12Lpa , but I have seen product base giving salary around 30-35Lpa to freshers

Looking for thoughts/advice. I have an offer from the IRS for a tax law specialist in LB&I at GS-14 level. The offer is 60% more than my current senior associate salary. I found out that I'm getting promoted to manager effective 8/1 but comp/bonus convos won't happen for another couple of weeks. I have until Monday to accept the IRS offer which I plan on doing. Am I making the right decision? How hard is it to get back into public accounting or land an industry job after a few years at the IRS?

Am I being underpaid? Chicago. Started in 2017. Work at a mid-size insurance defense firm as the only associate in my practice group. I pretty much handle my own files except if I need to run something by a partner. Minimum billable 1950 (with expectation you exceed that). Partners consistently give me good reviews, feedback, tell me I'm the best associate, will make partner, etc. Make 110k with around ~10k yearly bonus.

Asking on behalf of my parent who I think is severely under compensated and needs to go elsewhere:

- Associate Director at a F100 w/15+ YOE in this industry
- Has an MBA and a PMP
- Engineering background (foreign country) with program/project/portfolio management experience in current role

Currently making $130-$150K with like a $20-30K bonus.

What’s a realistic salary target? Always been a high performer but because English isn’t the first language I worry they’ve been taken advantage of.

Anyone from KPMG AAS willing to share the hours and YOE&Comp in HCOL? I am in an awkward situation: I’ll be promoted to S1 (audit) in August at a midsize firm but just got an offer for an associate position in AAS from KPMG. I don’t know if it’s appropriate to negotiate title because i feel like I am moving downward at this point, but also I want to go to AAS. Any inputs /thoughts are appreciated!

Recruiter from KF reached out for an Associate Principal role with ZS Associates. Said AP’s pull total comp of ~$1M. Glassdoor shows AP comp around 300k. Can anyone comment on validity? Don’t want to waste my time or theirs if the recruiter is just playing games. (Health Payer Digital / VBC)

Seriously wondering if I'm underpaid & if my firm's bonus structure is legit. About me: 3rd year associate, NJ market, small firm (under 5 attorneys). Started lower but now at $100 plus 15% collected originations. Lots of strings on when I get the bonus, chief among them that payout is only at the end of the representation and if the client's account is at least 90% paid. Good, bad? Have an offer in hand for an AmLaw100 lockstep. Corporate / M&A mid level associate. Didn’t use a recruiter (attorney referral from inside firm). Mostly satisfied with the offer. Procedurally how should I go about negotiating things like signing bonus, full bonus vs pro rated bonus / Covid bonus eligibility? Obviously this would normally be done recruiter to recruiter. Do I contact the internal recruiter or one of the head partners I interviewed with? Email vs call?
