Hi all, I am working as a Cloud DevOps Engineer in a well established start-up. I already have earned the AWS Cloud Practitioner and AWS CSA Associate certifications and planning to acquire more certifications in DevOps and Cloud domain. I want to enhance my skills.

Please help me with some suggestions.

Coming from ACN, senior analyst, 3yrs total experience so far & wanting to get into the data analytics/BI work. Currently have had experience working with SQL developer, OBIEE/OBIA, Teradata in ERP and Healthcare projects. I also have my AWS Cloud Practitioner Cert, hoping to eventually get the Data Analytics Cert later. What are my chances of finding a role with another company that'll let me work in BI/data analytics and build up my skill at the same time? Been thinking of leaving ACN.

What certification should I get next? Have AWS CCP and SCM, thanks!

YOE: 11.5 Tech: QA Automation with Selenium-Java, BDD, API automation, Mobile Automation - Perfecto cloud, Appium All the 11 years I am with automation only. Is it possible for me to learn new technology and switch. Recently acquired AWS cloud practitioner certification which is of no use to me now as they are asking for exp. I wanted to move to devops role. But without experience no one is giving opportunity and they are considering my profile as QA only 😒

Only have my certificate in aws cloud practitioner. Working towards my solutions architect. Would the cloud practitioner cert be enough to land a job?

I’m currently a business systems analyst but not very tech focused (mainly functional, PMO, agile type work). I’m not sure where to take my career next and looking for new ideas. I have the opportunity to take a couple courses to gain certs (AWS Cloud Practitioner and a beginner Python course). Is their a career path where I could utilize knowledge learned from both or would they be viewed as unrelated? If there is a path, any ideas and/or additional courses you recommend?

I am just between a career pivot and I need some advice. I graduated in Biochemistry near the top of my class with an expectation to go into medicine so I had been working in clinical research. But I decided otherwise and want to go into business now, as an analyst. I have some logistics experience and getting the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification but I need to start a new role ASAP. What is the best way to proceed? (I don't even know how to align my resume for this pivot...)

OD/OCM practitioner here currently with Deloitte USI, looking to connect with leads from Canada. Have about 6YOE, DE implementations/tech adoptions. Niche would be Finance and payroll processes (strong exp. in Finance transformation projects). Also, an AWS cloud practitioner and can take up cloud transformations projects. Versed with SAP SF, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori (niche), Oracle JDE and Google cloud (few modules). Anyone willing to connect/provide referral, tryna understand the process.

HNY! For those of you that took the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam, how did you prepare for it? Study materials, hours, etc?

What is a realistic exit I could look at? 1st year C with 3 YOE in Cloud Engineering, NetSuite SuiteFoundation, Salesforce Admin, Certified ScrumMaster, AWS CCP, medium level of experience with Oracle SQL (including database testing), and most of my project work has been around systems design/process improvement. My total comp is ~120k. Am I better off at Deloitte and focusing on gaining more technical experience?

I’m pretty happy at Deloitte, but still interested in what’s out there.

Any tips from moving out of advisory and into consulting? I've helped with SAP implementation and have my AWS CCP. Really desperate to get out of risk compliance world tbh

Any suggestion on how much / how long I should prepare for AWS cloud practitioner? Already familiar with AWS and hope to take it by the end of the year.

My manager basically gave me an unlimited budget to get whatever certifications I want. My career profile is similar to a Solution Architect- what should I get? I am thinking about Okta (I do some SAML work), Domo, ITIL, Six Sigma, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Six Sigma, anything else? I have AWS Cloud Practitioner already. I am hoping to pivot to Product Management or Data Science.

I just cleared my AWS Cloud Practitioner exam and am curious whether I should pursue Solutions Architect Associate and/or Developer Associate certificate next. My plan is to get about 7 certificates in the areas that interest me, even though they are not needed for my role. Have you gotten both? Any recommendation to which to pursue first?

Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

Really want to exit consulting, but all I have experience in is making PowerPoint slides for our cloud practice…

Where should I look to apply? I don’t actually have any tech skills (besides the aws ccp) but I really want to leave consulting for something with better wlb.

My job said I can expense AWS Cloud Practitioner certification but I don’t know where to go from here? Do I sign up on Amazon somewhere? Where do I get study material? Etc

Taking the Beginner AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam this weekend. Went through the standard course offered by AWS, I think I have a good understanding.

Is there anything else I need to prepare? Is this exam anything crazy?

Those who took the AWS CCP exam - do you get questions like “how much does a storage type cost per GB per month” in the exam? Trying to figure out whether this level of detail is required to be memorized for the exam
