cloud ☁️ fish 🐟: i am interested in learning more about the cloud space although i haven’t worked on any cloud projects. would getting newbie certs like AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals be a good starting point? does anyone even care about these certs? thanks!!

How difficult is obtaining an AWS cloud practitioner cert if you’re not particularly technical?

Which is the best source to study and clear AWS CCP in 10 days? I want to book the online test on Jan 1 or 2.

CISSP CPE question: Does anyone know if a Udemy AWS cloud practitioner certification course can be leveraged for Group A CPE credits on ISC2? Udemy provides a certificate with hour totals, but I didn’t know if ISC2 frowns upon these courses.

Hey all, would love some advice. I’m a Business Analyst with 5 YOE and minimal technical skills. And I’m really unhappy where I’m at. Very underpaid, and feel like I’m limited in job opportunities. I want to become more technical but no idea where to even start! I was thinking about starting with a certification but most seems really tough to learn as a newbie. Any guidance/advice on which certs to look at? Was thinking AWS cloud practitioner as a starting point? Any help welcomed!!

- TS/SCI + poly
- Security+
- AWS CCP
- PMP
- want to stay in DC area

Hi guys, I've been an Events Project Manager for approx 11 years now (I started when I was 19!) I specialise in large scale B2B corporate trade shows (exhibitions, conferences, awards etc.)

I'm trying to transition into a more traditional PM role, particularly in the tech/software space.

I've completed a Google Project Management course, got my Scrum Master certification and now training for the AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Any advice on how else I can prove my skills are transferrable?

I already have a AWS cloud practitioner cert and an Azure foundation cert. Whenever I interview for cloud positions, there seems to be an interest in GCP.
As a firm, I like Google & their moonshot ideas. I dream of one day joining the elite team. Is the firm really worth the hype? @AWS

Any entry level consulting / industry roles available? My friend got a later start, but has a degree in Cloud Computing and is working as a help desk technician. He has an AWS CCP and is working towards architect. Anyone recruiting? Eager to learn and work way up.

I’m a project manager with 7 years of PM experience in all kinds of industries. I’m currently in construction, but absolutely hate it. I’m looking to break into tech and was wondering if anybody has a good pathway into project management for a tech company. I’ve got a PMP, will have my AWS CCP in the next week and am hoping to have my Scrum Master by the end of the year (I’m on a waiting list)!
