People in VC, why does it feel like the VC space is filled with shallow people who lack depth? Recent news about how ghostwriters make a fortune writing tweets for VCs was disappointing. So many funds popping up left right and center to chase the 'next big thing' in recent times. How does one become a person of substance in this industry over the long run? For context, young person in venture here.

Anyone have any insight in the interview process at Visa? How many rounds of interviews, how long are the interviews, are the difficult, are there a lot of behavioral questions? I’ve been reached out to by one of their recruiters a couple of times now asking my to apply for a specific role and I am considering it. Kind of for practice to keep up my interviewing skills but also kind of interested in the role and I could be persuaded based on the total package. Is it rude & a waste of their time?

Since my Amex platinum is my only card and has no set limit, my access to credit is very low from a credit score perspective. Should I get another card to show lower utilization if I want to improve my credit score?

Is it worth to leave the job in india and move to Australia and search for a job over there? If so, are there any chances that i can land on a IT job as im holding temporary visa?
How much package i can get in australia and how much i can save actually?

HELP! I’ve been remote since day one (everyone in my team is) but my manager just told me that the laws for visa process are going back to prepandemic rules where in process employees are supposed to work in the company’s location. Like Canada we can convert tourist visa to work visa if we can find job when we are there.. consultancy helping in this process is charging 3L including flight tickets.
Getting Job is our headache (they told they too will help)

And for Poland they are giving 12-14 months stay permit to find job and everything
Fees being charged is 6L

How is the wlb and learning curve in Visa. Tech stack Java microservices @Visa

When you talk in American accent with recruiters, do they still ask “if you need visa sponsorship”? Can any recruiter chime in please? Are they trained to tell if anyone is potentially “international” candidate, hence asking the question selectively at their discretion?

Why amex has a 3 weeks long background verification process?
Some1 who is joining laterally has to wait for 3 weeks and staying unemployed till then.

I have two job offers for a design intern role at 2 top design agencies - one in SF, one in NYC.

SF job:
+ pays a lot more
+ tech clients (i want to be in tech after)
- wont sponsor visa
- strict NDA so i cant put in my portfolio

NYC job:
+ more interesting projects for my portfolio
+ product design role
+ will sponsor visa
- pays less

Considering rent in both cities, I feel $$ is a factor.

Me and my husband recently came to India to get our visa stamped for L1 extension. We received a 221g (yellow slip) and appeared for in person interview. Our visa status has not moved since then and its been a month now. Since both our jobs are in US, we have been extending our leaves without pay. Any body facing the same issue?
