Hi everyone, I got a verbal offer from AmEx for $134k w/ a 12% annual bonus as a Sr Mgr. I have 4.5 YOE coming from marketing consulting. Is this good?

Amex gold to platinum upgrade offer worth it? If I do I get extra 100,000 points and 5X for first 6 months. I’ll have the annual fee prorated as well.

I submitted my documents for bgv today. After this whats the procedure and turn around time? Would i get a call from hr for salary negotiation or they’ll straight away send an letter of intent?

After 2 rounds of interviews, the recruiter calls me and tell me that she received mail from amex that i shall keep my documents ready and I’ll be receiving a call by this week for salary negotiation. My last ctc was 6 lpa and recruiter tells me the budget for this role is 20 lpa. In expected ctc i had mentioned that my ask is of 15 lpa negotiable. Now what shall i do when I’ll have my salary negotiation round.

My question is, if she said that is it certain that I’ll be offered this role and if yes then is there a chance that my gap months can hamper my chances in hr round

For the people who have the personal Amex platinum, do you think it’s worth it? How does the point system work? I see you get 5x points on travel, what does that equate to? Does 100,000 points = $1,000 ?

Declined for Delta Amex Gold because Experian report flagged me as ‘too many new cards’. I have only opened 1 (maybe 2 if you count Feb 2021 edge case) card in the last 12 months, and when I pulled my Experian report myself, there was no reference to having too many new cards or anything like the sort.

Going to call Experian Monday to see what’s going on. In the meantime, is it pointless to apply for the Alaska Airlines card until I speak with Experian?

Should I also mention in mail my current ctc?

They mentioned earlier that we give hike on fixed component but not on whole ctc.
