My current firm didn’t require a case interview. Would like to leave soon, but want to have my ducks in a row. How can I best prepare for Big 4 and MBB interviews? How did you all do it?

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

I’ve had to step away from social media for my own mental sanity as I have a major issue with comparing myself to peers when it comes to life stages. I got an offer from TCS of 8.13LPA for 4 yoe in automotive domain and accepted that offer. but my salary was revised from 6.2 to 7.74 LPA in appraisal at my current company, now if I compare it with tcs it is I am getting less than 10% raise in tcs . How should I approach to HR in tcs regarding this issue.

I received a 2 year continued service agreement costing $12,000 in effect fot individuals who 'leave voluntarily' within the allotted timeframe. Will I actually have to pay for the costs of training if I don't end up liking the job? Are these enforceable? What are the parameters of 'leaving voluntarily?' Thank you!

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...

The short: Would anyone be up for starting regular virtual co-working sessions? I’m thinking 2-3 rounds of [5 mins to set intentions : 45 mins of work : 10 min break]. The long: One technique I’ve found to stay focused is “body doubling,” i.e., having another person present while you’re working. I’ve had some success replicating this over Zoom/Google Meet. Everyone works on their own thing and stays muted during work blocks, but videos stay on. It reminds me of studying in the library vs at home

Frustrated my fiancé keeps talking about raising our future kids in the way he was raised. We’re from different cultures. He wants to name them based on his culture, send them to schools with dual immersion in his language so “they don’t get too American,” and has even mentioned moving so they’re exposed to his homeland and culture.
