What shall I do: the senior consultant I am working with is extremely condescending and borderline rude in the way he communicates with me (granted he is very qualified, but still rude e.g. he laughed at my input in a KOL interview...during the interview). It has been ongoing for ~3 weeks now and is seriously affecting my motivation on this engagements and hence, the quality of my output. Any tips on how to handle/proceed with this?

Any tips for the interview for creatives? Finally got a chance to talk to senior creatives from an agency I’ve admired and I’m super nervous. I really need this job :’( 🙏

Rant: I interviewed at a mid size firm for Senior Tax Associate role and went really well. Partner calls after a couple days to say they want to offer me a job and asked me if I wanted senior 1 or 2. I said senior 2 since I have a years experience as a senior and she was okay with it and discussed salary. She said she will think about the final offer and let me know. A week later she comes back to tell me that my small firm experience probably won’t help much and it would be difficult for me...

Would you take a manager role when exiting with <2 YOE?

Backstory: I gave a high salary range for a company I was interviewing with and during negotiation they couldn’t hit it at the senior associate band so they offered a manager title instead. I turned it down because I thought it’d be foolish and short sighted to take a role like that so early in my career. Interested in hearing other thoughts and personal experiences!

What is a focus interview at Deloitte for a senior consultant?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

I'm a senior who interviewed for a "commercial operations analyst" role. The role was interesting as it required CPA and involved commercial and operational performance analysis as well as management and client reporting. However after further investigation and post-interview, I realised that the people i reported to directly didn't have any accounting/finance background (BD/strategy).

I'm focused on a FP&A career. I was wondering if the lack of experience from reports is a bad move.

I'm so frustrated. I've been working for 10 years and I can't get an interview for Senior AD roles, but I get tons of enthusiastic calls for Intermediate ones. Im doing the work of a senior now - concepting alone, working direct with clients, guiding the odd junior - and I do a lot of stuff for the community at large that shows leadership (like conference stuff).

I've had CDs review my book and they say my work is great. Why can't I land a senior job? I want to manage, I have good ideas. WTF?

I interviewed with kpmg for a senior associate position. They waited until the offer to tell me that they see me best as an associate. Which would be a step back in my career and even less money than we talked about. The job posting says minimum of 3 years and I have 4. Don’t understand why they like to waste people’s time like this.

Got an interview with KPMG for senior associate - financial services. Most of my previous consulting work has been with technology and health care companies. Would it be too tough a transition to come in as an SC with no to little banking or financial services experience. I do like that space but don’t have much knowledge in lending and banking.

Senior from non-target here. Just spoke to HR at a firm where I had a potential superday - the spots were filled before my interview.
Became a bit depressed now - I was unable to get any full time offer so far. I wanted to transition from IB to consulting but it seems like I might be jobless after graduating in 05-2021.
Any suggestions on how to swallow the reality? Are there still any job openings?
Would my 1.5-yr internships in IB and PE qualify me for any experienced hire?

Attended interview for a role at PWC and after director round of interview, I was called by recruiter to tell me that interview was positive but there is no definitive answer since they are looking for more senior role and also they may shift resources internally and that there may be chance in the future. Not sure what is happening here but let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
