I’m currently a financial analyst at an ad agency. Coming close to 2years in this role was a intern for 6 months prior at the same agency. I’m realizing I’m not enjoying the work anymore and would like to do something else. I’m looking for more of a analytical role. I’ve been thinking about being a business analyst. Can someone provide tips or advice on transitioning to a BA. Also I’ll take any advice in other roles I can transition to with my background that I may enjoy.

Does anyone get depressed at work? I’m starting to get depressed. It’s so hard, I find myself crying sometimes and feeling not good enough to be at the position I am as a software senior analyst. Idk if it’s work or just my life.

Less than a year into MBB and I was offered a role at a tech startup - growth analyst, working directly with execs (doesn’t mean as much for a startup of 70 people). TC is 33% higher and hours are 33% lower. Was planning to exit into tech at some point but this is earlier than I expected. Thoughts into leaving consulting so early and whether it’s a major red flag in the future?

What is the average salary for a senior revenue analyst role in Austin?

Generally speaking, when a job posting is listed as associate, senior consultant, etc. is the firm open to hiring a qualified candidate for the level below? For example, if a job posting is for an associate with 4 YOE, would the company entertain the idea of hiring an analyst with 2 YOE?

My current company (Not a big4 / tier 1 company) has now offered 9 LPA to retain me.
What should I do? Shoul I stay here or join Deloitte and take the advantage of the big4 and tier 1 company tag? I'm very confused - could someone please answer me?

I often hear people say not to worry about titles if the money is there. But there is a big different between title and role/responsibility. Would you jump from Sr. Manager to Manager at a different Big 4 for a significant bump in pay? In this example the titles are an apples-to-apples comparison between firms and you would be taking a step back in both title and role/responsibility/hierarchy. That is very different then going from Sr. Manager to Analyst at a company where Analysts have 10 YoE.

I am a senior analyst with 5+ years of functional experience in health payer, 1.5 years of BA experience. Thinking about exit opportunities and deciding if it's worth pivoting into the pharmaceutical industry, startups, and or straight into a payer company. Thoughts if I should wait or exit?

Need advice: Had a screening covo with a recruiter about making a lateral transition (SC > SC) where the recruiter asked about what type of past projects/clients I had worked on in the past. At the end of the call, the recruiter said maybe I didn’t have enough management experience to be considered for SC role. I am currently leading a team of 10 and have led consultants/analyst in all recent past projects. Should I follow up with the recruiter via email to clarify this experience?

I’m thinking of enrolling into a bootcamp or something similar and hopefully getting into more of data analyst roles. Any programs or boot camps you recommend? I was also considering a part time masters but not sure I can commit with how many hours I work.

I am currently a young analyst in Consulting (1/3 of strategy work 2/3 of operations work so far) with some M&A internship. My goal is to eventually move to Corp Dev. I am enjoying my work so far so I don't wanna move if I don't need to, but, should I shift to a more finance role to be well positioned to make the jump or is it doable from Consulting?

I have an initial chat coming up and I’d like to understand more about trajectory/growth, wlb compared to main consulting, whether it is specialised in the function advertised (e.g. TURN) or it looks at a range of industries, and whether it’s more or less quantitative than main consulting

BCG 🐠: came across a finance lead position (internal). Is this equivalent to a finance manager role? The PD states that candidates who don’t meet the years of experience requirement will be considered for Sr financial analyst.

Is there a salary difference between a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A and a Senior Accountant? Assuming you have the same amount of accounting experience when applying for each position.

Moving from T2 consulting to T2 consulting... 1.5 YoE. Move is for switching industry focus. Should I level down to analyst role w/ 1 year tenure, or shoot for senior analyst (2 yrs tenure). Perhaps a middle option with 1.5 years tenure? For context, post-MBA level would be another year or 2 after senior analyst I believe.

Got an offer from a boutique consulting firm in New York. Currently an Analyst up for promotion this June. Current pay is $85k and the offer is for $116.5k for a Senior Consultant role. I will be doing same work. FSI and banking client will be working on Data Transformation projects in Reg. Should i take the offer? PROS/VONS? I am a Permanent Resident to visa is not an issue. I used a referral to apply to some financial analyst roles. I like how recruiters are willing to personally decline you which opens a dialogue on criticism. I was given resources on improving resumes and interview skills. It seems my resume is in good shape according to the recruiter but I can’t seem to land an interview. Is there anything else left besides a referral and a good resume to get through? I feel like being from the east coast applying to west coast roles is a factor
