I might have an opportunity to work for Amazon as a Senior Program Manager. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what salary, bonus, stock options, etc to be offered for that role?

Anyone recently exit to a strategy role in big tech? Curious about how the interview process was and whether the comp is comparable to what we make in consulting? Also wonder how the work life balance is? I haven’t started applying yet but trying to figure out whether it will be a good fit

Could this, more of then than not, be received negatively? If so, which if the two should be prioritized when you’d like to express your interest and excitement in the role?

I joined current company 3 months ago but I’m thinking of leaving. Great pay, career growth opportunity, supportive manager, and gaining leadership experience by managing and hiring the team. However I really do not enjoy the job. It is so uninteresting. It’s a BI Manager role.

I then got a new job offer today to become a Product Manager for a startup that raised its Series B. I want to take it because it’s a great opportunity to try out something new but I feel guilty. What do I do?

Role is sr acct/manager. Will be working on startups so i can expect to roll up my sleeves too. Responsibilities include reviewing staff work, month end close, FS prep and analysis, typical industry stuff but smaller scale

Currently a manager at a B4 AWM tax group mostly focusing on private equity fund, k1s, estimates and such. I always thought if i exit, it would be for an in-house role at a private equity fund and frankly wanted to test out if I can stay and make a partner one day. Currently have an opportunity to join a publicly traded fintech company as a tax manager. Should I take this? Fear of unknown is killing me. Also afraid of not progressing once I go industry as I value the career progression.

Pros/cons to working at a publicly-traded company? Especially compared to an established start-up. Role is Accounting Manager with the typical close and related tasks.

How technical is the technical product manager role at Amazon? I just got a message but my background is management consulting, such as growth strategy and operating model design, so I am as non-tech as it gets

I’m currently a project manager with 2 yoe looking to eventually pivot into the product management role. I want to take a certificate course. Would it be best to do a ux/ui course to understand product design more or just a product management certificate? My work is paying for it and I want to take advantage of it.

Recruiter from Amazon reached out to me for a Senior Technical Account Manager role. I’m curious if I should entertain the inquiry. I’m not actively looking but I feel like this can be a big opportunity. Current TC is ~245k. Thoughts on Amazon exceeding significantly?

Had an initial convo with the recruiter for a Sr Product Manager (Technical) role at Amazon onsite in Seattle (no remote) and he said the avg all in package they’re targeting is 180-190k. That’s 50-60k less than avg than what I’ve been seeing on fb and levels. I know that the band goes all the way up to 300k also. Currently making 200k all in and in a city 35% cheaper. The role is also a perfect fit for my background (7 yrs related experience), 3-4 yrs of other work experience.

[Manager/ Sr, Manager] Exit ops in the 350k+ range total comp range? Do they exist? Pls share your experience!

I’m interviewing w some FANGs and Tech companies but starting to get discouraged looking at the pay cuts I would have to take. Most seem in the 250k range for my experience level. Considering sticking it out in Consulting even if I’m not 100% satisfied in my role.

PSA for folks looking to break into Tech: Now is a great time to make moves into big tech in all roles. I am a hiring manager with visibility into many open roles, and we are struggling to get the right candidates to accept. Candidates all seem to have many competing offers right now - very candidate friendly environment.

If you are interested in breaking into tech, here's some comp bench marks for biz roles:
<3 YOE:150k
3-5 YOE: 200-250k
4-8 YOE: 250-300k

Many roles work 40-50 hrs / week

I am being extended an offer soon from another company. How would you go about negotiating a signing bonus? The signing bonus is because I will be leaving my 2021 bonus on the table if I accept this offer. Also, who do you usually negotiate with - hiring manager or HR?

I'm a brand new attorney (passed the Feb 2021 bar) who started an in-house counsel position a few months ago (where my focus is negotiating agreements for the sale of my company's software). I was a contracts manager on an in-house team for 4 years prior, which is why I was able to go straight in-house. I'm entirely skipping out on firm life, which feels both good and bad. Is there anything I should think about getting experience in? How should I go about making sure I am seeing enough things?

I've been helping my director write up an interview format and was wondering if there was anything different about lead designer interviews? When I was going through the interview process at my company I had the following steps: phone screen, hiring manager screen, onsite (portfolio review, design collab, stakeholder collab, eng collab).
