I’ve been a financial accountant for 10 years, several corporations, currently holdings accountant. I have been offered a role as senior master data finance analyst within a listed multinational with many new acquisitions and integrations. The role involves master data management, process improvements, documentation, participation in data migrations, business support and incident management. Anyone that has taken a similar path, what are your impressions and the value added to your experience?

Why do people with 10+ yrs in industry come back to PA as managers in AAS? Is that really the best move comp-wise? Makes me think twice about exiting to a senior industry role 😬

I might have an interview with BCG London for a Senior Associate position soon. Just got a referral and submitted my cover letter. Any tips to prepare for the interview (kind of cases, what fit questions I can expect, number of rounds and turnaround time etc.) would be really helpful.

Hey all- I feel like I have always seen conflicted suggestions on when to leave and what position to leave for. I am an S2 (manager promo would be next year) making 80k in MCOL in audit. I have an offer for a senior accountant position with equity grant at hire and 100k base, no annual bonus. I feel like the base increase is more than I thought I could get, but is that true? I had an interview with 2 senior managers last week for an industry position and it went super well. All behavioral questions. I have an in person interview this week with a director of the group and will be shown around the office. Would you expect this one to be harder or more like trying to figure out if you are a good fit for their group like the previous one? Don’t have any background on what the interview will be like and I really want the job! Any advice would be great.

Has anyone exited consulting so a senior finance manager role in tech? Not sure I want to keep doing strategy and have good background in finance, but worried that salaries will be significantly lower than the usual bizdev/ S&O consulting exit. Would love to hear some stories of people who have made this type of switch. TIA!

Is anyone very afraid of graduating from mid-level to “senior?” I feel like the lateral market is not as great for seniors and looking to lateral at years 7+ seems like you are just leaving bc you won’t make partner, and if you do leave the partner clock starts all over again. Are there better exit options as a senior from litigation to in house?

Wanted to know if going from at Analyst at Deloitte to Senior Associate at KPMG was feasible. I have 1.5 years of experience working in a SOC before joining Deloitte. I wanted to come in at the consultant level but the recruiter insisted on coming in as an analyst. I have been at Deloitte Cyber for a 1 year now & it has not been a good fit. So 2.5 years of cyber experience & a Masters in CS from elite school… is it feasible I try for a Senior Associate role at KPMG in cyber?

Recently I have switched by clearing the interview based on spring hibernate but in my previous org I didn't get chance to work on these technologies it was very old project.
Now in my new org do I need to admit it like I don't have real time experience in spring as I am getting calls from various projects and they are asking me on which technology I had worked.
