BCG 🐠 how long does it normally take to get from Associate Director to “Partner & Associate Director” in the expert career track. Any insights into AD and P&AD compensation (US or UK)?

My most recent director told me that my time is being charged as Sr Consultant, so that’s the expectation for my performance. My title is associate, so two levels below a senior consultant. My last two appraisals have been scored against senior consultant roles, which my company has used to justify why I’m not eligible for a salary increase or promotion to consultant. Is this normal?

I’m an associate media director making 108k in NYC and wondering if agency folks are seeing an annual salary % increase in times of Covid? In my last agency it was automatic, every year we would get an increase but not sure what the process is currently. Also I feel guilty and somewhat selfish to even ask since I know I’m very privileged in these times, but I’ve been putting in more hours since I’ve started wfh - 5% increase seems fair to me. Promotions/new hires have resumed now too.

BCG 🐠.. can anyone tell me the difference between “Associate Director” and “Partner & Associate Director” compensation? Expecting an offer soon but looking at glass door Associate Director may not cut it so may need to have a level conversation unless the band is very wide.. willing to walk away if AD doesn’t cut it as I have good prospects at my current firm but would be good to understand what I should ask for (more money @ AD or for them to consider a higher level)..
