It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

I am on the east coast and solely focused on finding myself a remote position and willing to take a salary cut to strike a work life balance.
I spoke to the Hiring Manager for a role today which seems like a great fit and is all that I would look for - except he said in passing ‘we are all remote but me mostly abide by west coast hours’. What would you infer from it ? Should be a complete no-go ?

Fishes!..I had a CTC of 25L in Chennai and joined for 35L in Bangalore,on the premise that the company is ok with WFH for long term..
Now within weeks of joining, company says Govt has mandated work from office so all need to report by October..is this true from govt side?.. Now accounting for Bangalore rent and costs the savings will be lesser than previous , without even accounting for this year, where my family has to still rent in Chennai..Shall i start looking again to fix this dumb mistake

Hi there, I am looking for remote nursing jobs in New Hampshire. I have my compact nursing license, my BSN and have been a nurse for almost 6 years. Before that, I was an LNA. I come with experience. I can’t seem to get an interview for these types of jobs. Ill get eyes on my applications, will get a call back and then turned away due to having a compact license. For ex. I got a call back from A company out of Maine but says I need a Maine license. Anyone else have this issue?

I quit my crappy job after I had my baby bc I needed more time with her before returning to work (6 weeks is not enough) and I just got a job offer that checks a lot of boxes. Fully remote, a 20k bump in salary, cool industry and nice people…but the manager I’d be working under came across as a bit of a smug a-hole. Given the current economy / layoffs etc etc. - would you accept and see how it goes? Accept and keep looking? Or hold out for something better?

I have got an offer for a remote position. Company has made it look like they are approving remote as per my request. They have mentioned - "as per your request, we are approving remote working .."
Whole offer letter is driven like company is considering my request, so there will not be any reimbursement for home office, internet . I may need to travel to office if required, again no mention of expense reimbursement.

Is it fair on company's part to mention like above? I didn't ask for remote.

my daughter just started kindergarten today. I have been having a fair amount of anxiety about sending her into a public school setting for the first time because of what happened in Uvalde. How do other parents deal with this? I am not one of those people who devote undue attention to remote risks, like I’m not afraid of dying in a plane crash or anything. But I am pretty fixated on the prospect of gun violence in schools.

Few questions:
1) when will be the pre joining process start for JS5 I mean How many days before joining?
2) Do I need to go to base location to collect laptop or do they courier? How many days they will give if on location pickup for laptop is there to collect laptop after joining?
3) As per covid situation wfh will be there if I go to office once they will call for office do they provide initial accomodation as discussed in FAQ document?

Is people at D leaving? Heard they are mandating everyone work from home office rather than wfh. If so that’s so bizarre.

Which firms offer a clear, documented hybrid or remote travel policy? Something more detailed/established than just stating “hybrid” or up to partner/MD preference. I am Interested in reducing the typical 80% travel lifestyle and wondering which firms I should begin investigating. It doesn’t have to be 0% travel, but 50% or less would be nice.
