Advice on taking the SHRM-SCP exam? I’m taking the exam tomorrow and not feeling as prepared as I should. Who has taken the SCP exam? How difficult did you find it?

Today I was thinking about different sales experiences I’ve had–both as the buyer & the salesman. What was the best and/or worst sales experience you’ve ever had as a customer?

Currently in sales. 26. Take extreme pride in my work and the effort I put into it. I know it sounds like a greedy millennial, but I feel very underpaid and undervalued. I am competitive and have been successful in sales. Looking for my next step in my career. Ideally remote. Any suggestions? Have been applying but haven’t been getting much action back. Thanks

Is it worth becoming certified in compensation? I have 5 years of benefits and my new employer wants me to move into Total Rewards. Is this a better career move than just remaining in Benefits?

I am considering an offer for an AE role (UK-LDN) where the base is £42k & OTE is £70k. The Regional GM has verbally promised to move it up to £50k base if I perform well during the probationary period, but I can’t have it in writing on the contract. I’ve tried to counter offer but they said I’m currently maxing the salary band (L4). This role is exciting as I’d be the first UK employee, doing the full sales cycle & more but I had the same base and ote as an SDR. Is it too low? Do I take it?

What is the best advice you would give to a junior account manager?

How can I get my *micro* manager off my back? I know I haven’t been doing the best work this quarter, but emailing me all damn day isn’t going to help me do better, I do know that.

My friend received two job offers for Account Executive roles: a Mid-Market role with Confluent and an Enterprise role with ThoughtSpot. He’s conflicted because Confluent is a more established company, ThoughtSpot is Pre-IPO. Confluent is a lucrative product to sell and has established SDR reps so there’s a good blend of inbound and outbound sales. Thoughtspot is more of a startup culture where most of the sales comes from outbound and it’s a tougher sell.

For those who completed their SHRM certification this year (CP or SCP) and opted for self study, what study materials did you use to prepare?

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !!

Is finding a Generalist position for more than 50k but with me having less than 7 years of HR experience reasonable? Is a generalist position the best next step to get more experience? Can anyone help me with the tax implications on the bonus received . I got 2.5L bonus in this payroll and 56k tax was deducted at source. Now I’m on notice so I have to resign and return the gross amount that is 2.5L .. what happens to the tax I paid 56k ? Is that my loss ?
