Is it bad or good leadership that you cant give employees job security for the next week or month? Forecasts are not built on a weekly basis of revenue, money will come that week or wont come. Cant we protect our people and say you know what we are ok as is with current staff until May 15, and update now ok to June. how is this fair to work under these conditions where i cant plan my mortgage or spending. And i get small updates and am told i cant tell anyone on my team. Whats the secret?
Need advice on side hustles and PT gigs. I work FT, my wife runs her own business PT while caring for our kids, and we are STILL living paycheck to paycheck. Combined we make over $80k/yr, but it's still tight. My wife is saying she can go back to work FT and shut down her biz, but a) I know this would make her unhappy, b) we want to prioritize our time with our kids before they start going to school, and c) we already pay for PT daycare and it's EXPENSIVE. FT is outrageous. Thoughts?

So I put in my two weeks for the first time in my career. I have three days left and am still being asked to deliver decks, give presentations and kick off projects. Is this normal? How do other women in sales deal with leaving their family for work trips? I've been in sales a long time but now I have a partner and an infant. My partner gets frustrated when I have to leave because we share all of the parental duties equally when I'm home and me leaving is very distruptive. How do others deal with this?

Has anyone transitioned from direct sales to indirect (channel, solutions consulting, etc.)? I’m an Enterprise AM currently (6+ years of total closing experience in SaaS) but looking to make a change sometime in the next 18-24 months. Certainly expecting to sacrifice financial upside but growing tired of the grind.

Currently in Strategic Finance at a high-growth SaaS co. I want to stay in tech, but pivot to either VC (difficult) or Strategy & Ops/PM. The latter could be done without an MBA I think, but probably not VC. I think I would enjoy the MBA experience, but the $$ is a turnoff given I’m already at $150k TC.
