Desperate parent of an almost 4 year old here.

Our toddler isn't quite done with potty training. He knows to run to the potty to pee, but poops are almost always an accident. We are working with a pediatric GI to resolve chronic constipation issues + rewards for timely pooping.

My son's daycare is just being a pain and constantly sending emails reminding us how tough it is on the teachers / staff, despite us telling them how much we're trying.

Any parents who can relate or offer guidance?

First don’t worry your okay and a 💯 good parent even if your kids 💩 s randomly.

My daughter who is now 8 had a similar issue and it was mostly a won’t not can’t and she is fine now. Sometimes it takes time or extrinsic motivation to move them forward. We just finished potty training our 3 year old with the ability to watch the paw patrol movie.

I would first see if it’s a fear of using #2 or a gi issue.

It should work itself out. If the child can pee fine your 95% of the way there

So my daughter had a similar issue but hers was psychological. She would hold it until her body would expel it out but by that time it was painful; so she would hold it again for fear of getting hurt. We had to break her of that cycle and help her realize that, if you go at the right time that it doesn’t hurt.

I would also like to echo that you aren’t a bad parent. Yes it’s a struggle and it probably feels like a lot are against you, but you’re not alone. It does get better!

I am in the process of IVF due to my husband's male factor infertility. I am so grateful for the benefits that EY provides and wanted to know if there is any consideration for reevaluating those benefits? We know that IVF is incredibly expensive and for some of us, having children is a top priority. Does anyone know where or how we can petition for enhanced or shared benefits? I have ideas.

I am getting ready to send my 2 year old toddler to a toddler program next week for the first time. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

How would you respond to this note sent home on my toddler’s daily report from her in-home daycare provider. Mind you she didn’t say anything to me in person about this. Plus my daughter started saying “no daycare, no friends” when we tell her it’s time to go / ask her if she wants to see her friends.
