Thoughts on unlimited PTO?
I have a possible opportunity at Protiviti. Coming from big4 and wondering if Protiviti has fairly similar perks. I’ve read the 2022 benefits guide and it gave a oddly low PTO count of 16 days. Is this true and what about a holiday disconnect in the December time period? Are there any other hidden perks that are awesome? Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like I’ve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

Even though he’s working on vacation, he’s probably only addressing mission-critical stuff, which generally does not include reviewing resumes. Give him a few days to dig out post vacation before following up.
This exactly
"Hi [x] how was your vacation? Just wanted to follow-up on the below. Im excited about this opportunity and would love to discuss it more" or something like that.
Hate to rain on possible exciting opportunity but I’d suggest caution. It’s probably a good idea to check the applicable jurisdiction’s ethics rules. I’d be a little worried about a real or perceived conflict (your interest in new job allegedly impacting your ability to zealously represent your client, by consciously or unconsciously wanting to impress/please opposing counsel). Good luck!
Fortunately our case is minor and will be wrapped up shortly. But I have thought about how that would look to my client if he ended up with a less than satisfactory outcome and later discovered my position at opposing counsel’s firm…
Doesn’t hurt to follow up. Give opposing counsel a few more days as counsel is probably playing catch up!
