Any Spotify people here? Noticed there’s an AM role going at the moment in the UK but not sure what experience level it is. For reference I’ve got 6 years in ad sales experience with 3 years management (both in music industry). Would this be comfortable or is it worth holding out for AD?

Not familiar with the Power of Now, but in my AA recovery I found these booklets very helpful:
King Baby (men orientated)
https://www.hazelden.org/store/item/4021?King-Baby
Queen Baby (women orientated)
https://www.hazelden.org/store/item/9020?Queen-Baby
Letting Go of the Need for Control

Thanks for this! I hope these are easier reads than Power of Now
I have read this a couple times OP and I would recommend it to anyone. I will say that it isn't for everyone and I have had several friends feel the same way as you, but maybe give it one more shot and see what you think

I loved it when I first read it (May-ish of 2020, during the start of the pandemic). It changed my understanding of “ego”, which is a big component of recovery (for me, in AA, at least).
There are several other books in the same genre that may appeal more to you:
- Untethered Soul
- The Four Agreements
- Be Here Now
- etc.
I like these types of books because they either deepen or broaden my understanding of my existence. Most recently, my therapist has been recommending Jeff Foster.
I've read the Four Agreements and love it! It was significantly easier to read than Power of Now. Thanks for all your recommendations
I was a big Eckhart Tolle fan already so I actually really liked it. But I know he has a very distinct style that might not work for everyone. I think as a philosopher he has a lot of wisdom to offer.
That's true. Do you have any other suggestions?
Eckhart Tolle is spiritually awakened - which is the end goal of the 12 steps

I’m re-listening to The Power of Now; Spotify has it if you have an account, which could be a better way to get through it if reading it is painful.
Any book that expands my spirituality or recovery is worth it. Some books permanently change my perspective, others show me alternative perspectives, and still others show me a path that’s not for me. We’re all on our own journey.
