Any Tableau SEs able to share some insights?
Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.

If I were you I’d do some YouTube research on giving product demonstrations and take notes. The key thing for me was practice practice practice, be confident in what you say and tell a compelling story and you can’t go wrong.
The most helpful videos I watched were by Salesforce employees, really helped me understand the process even though I sell a completely different software. I’ve also found some success in the “presales collective” which is a free group with lots of great resources. To each their own however, best of luck in landing the role!
Thank you for your input, BC1! Youtube is always our best friend. Hah! I scheduled a free consulting with better.org today and see if the price makes sense. If it’s outrageous, I’ll stick to learning on my own. I’ve been successful in the past, so I probably just continue on it! Thanks again!

Make sure to ask audience questions as you pause between different points. Pretend that you already did discovery call with them and what you’re presenting are assumptions already established during the call. You will need to role play a bit to make this interesting. Your goal is not to show them how much you know the product necessarily, but that you have the use case and business value nailed down
Those are great points, thank you SF1!
There's so many things I could say. Are you doing a demo of the product that you'd be selling?
So this company is a competitor of ours (banking software is the product). And I would not have access to their system nor I would not to use my current company’s system too neither. The full use case has not been given to me yet, but it would revolve around banking system, e.g. Loan Core banking system demo. Thanks in advance EPE1!
