Your career goals sound amazing and seem like a really good, and caring person. I hope things work out for you. I look into local non-profits, you could apply your knowledge and skills through volunteer work and build up your experience as well.

First of all, congratulations on graduating and super dope that you’re interested in the DEI space. The thing that helped me the most was finding a really strong mentor who would put me in a position to be in rooms and conversations that I wouldn’t be able to get into otherwise.
My advice would be to network heavily, get a credential in DEI, specifically like the Cornell, one, and keep at it. The right opportunity will come your way.
Build on the statistical analysis skills you learned in psychology. Develop skills in data visualization. Learn to interpret and communicate data.
DEI practitioners tend to lack acumen in data and business analysis. If you are strong in any of these, you bring immediate value to the team.
