Any advise for best study guide/Videos/Material to pass the SHRM-CP Exam?

Have any Legal recruiters helped place a junior (1-2 yr.) Staff/Diligence Attorney mainly focused on PE transactions/M&A at a V20 firm into a traditional partnership-track junior (1-3 yr) Associate position at a peer firm’s similar practice group? Any suggestions to approaching these lateral opportunities?

Crossposted. Looking for advice. I’ve got 10+ years as an attorney and have been trying to go in house for over a year. I have a generalist background (although I’m primarily a litigator) and was a partner at an Amlaw 100 firm. I’ve had my resume reviewed and keep getting great feedback. Not getting many interviews and when I do, I’m not getting offers despite positive interviews. How do I differentiate myself? Should I get some sort of certification or specialty? This is getting depressing.

I am considering accepting a fully remote senior counsel litigation position at a Big Law boutique in a different time zone. Has anyone done this? Comp would increase by a lot, and I like the ability to WFH, but I’m afraid I would become a cog in a wheel instead of doing real legal work. I also don’t know many of their lawyers or any of their judges which concerns me.

Any suggestions on fields and jobs to apply to as a transitioning teacher? I was thinking about getting my Scrum Master certification but open to learn of other certifications or fields that I should be looking at as a transitioning teacher. All feedback is greatly appreciated!

I used to have panic attacks because I would fail exams and get low grades, but looking back, I wish someone had told me I was capable of finding success even with all my failures. If anyone is a student right now, know that it’s going to be okay and you’ll make a fine engineer one day as long as you persevere through your setbacks

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. Any advice on passing the SHRM exam the first time around?

I’m an HR Generalist. My job is a mix of recruitment and Employee Relations. I find the recruitment aspect to be pretty enjoyable and stress free, but the Employee Relations aspect does often give me a lot of anxiety (I’m a very anxious person to begin with). Recently, it’s been worse because I have several ER cases currently that seem like they could be potentially turning into lawsuits. Do others in ER experience these anxieties? I was talking with my director the other day about how I think the US should be implementing longer maternity leave policies and generally better parental leave policies for parents who have given birth/had a partner give birth/adopted a child, and she said it was "a crackpot idea meant to push socialist agendas." Hello, Everyone! I am a recent graduate of Morgan State University and currently working for Baltimore City Government Human Resources Department. I am interested in learning and developing as a young professional and I hope this community is a safe space to ask the questions I may not feel comfortable asking my Director or Executive Director.

I was offered a promotion but due to internal policies the max comp they could offer was way under market value. I countered and was denied. I took time to think about it, being disappointed I applied for other jobs. Monday came and I decided to accept the offer. A week before starting my new position I got a call for one of the jobs I applied for. I am now going through to the last round of interviews the same week I start my new position. Would it be bad practice to accept another offer now?
