Is there anything you've been able to do to manage the mood swings? Or do they come on every night? I'd recommend going for a walk or working out to kind of release some steam, that's what's always worked for me. A 30-45 min work out and a sauna sesh usually helps me overcome the crash
Honestly, I have found I have to either have the crash happen way early in the day (which is nearly always not feasible given the work I need to get done right up to the end of the day), or, i have taken enough (lower amount than typical dose) late enough to not have a crash (which messes with my sleep). Or, lower your dose enough overall where you don’t notice the crash as much. But that has been tough for me to get myself to do. It is tough no matter what :/
You may be able to explore different medication or different dosing. I usually don't experience a "crash" until the next day and typically take my 3rd dose around 1pm.
Was also going to say talk to the doctor about it and try to figure out how to mitigate it. I have had times where my meds were perfect, and then they slowly drop off and I have to start again. Just always a work in progress, and I’d also say maybe talk to your spouse about the situation so they know.
Vyvanse has made that do much better with little end of day crash for me.
I take adderall and I normally don't have a crash but if I work late I notice it becomes harder and harder for me to focus as the adderall is wearing off. Energy drinks have helped me or having just a little caffeine to give me a sort of boost to get through those last few hours of work.
