I gave myself a solid 3 months. I passed in January 2022 and had 4 YOE at the time. But experience IMO honestly isn’t applicable to the test. I would sHalf the challenge is understanding the way the test questions are written and dissecting them for what’s being asked. Here’s a useful resource I used along with purchasing the SHRM learning system. I'd say you have plenty of time, especially if you're looking to ultimately take the test in the latter portion of that window. Plenty of practice resources out there online.
I think there is no specific timeline for this. You are good as long as you have sufficient time to cover all the important topics. You can also do some exercises.
