OP: i feel behind in life since I make 65K. how much did you make?
Person: I made 50K
OP: oh great, so I'm at least in front of you. Self-esteem repaired.
Bruh, you feel behind? With this post, all you're doing is looking for someone else to stand in front of. Find some worth within yourself. Only compete with your future self and your needs. Make money to fund the lifestyle you want, not to compare to others
This post is gold!!!
I was making around 20 at that age. Unbelievable
Like $10/hr... LOL
Change your mindset, OP.
Same. $10.90 p/h.
Nothing! I was living abroad while studying and my tuition was 44 euro a term. 😂🤣😭
At 23 I was making $7.00/per hour plus commission (but only during the season) working 39 hours a week in ticket sales. At 25 I was making $45k a year working 70 hours a week managing construction sites. At 27, I was back making $7.25/per hour plus commission trying to make a career in sports marketing work again. At 37 years old, I finally cleared $65k a year working as an IT manager for a construction company.
Life is going to take you all over. Don’t judge your journey based on others. Find a career you enjoy doing, there will be jobs you love and jobs you hate, but pick a career you find fulfilling.
I was struggling to pay rent doing Uber, right after college while looking to get in to the industry. You're doing great, be patient and focus on building your skills and bringing value.

Tired at 23… you have a long road ahead of you
At 23 I made 2k more than you only due to inflation. Only a decent salary because I live with my parents. Not exactly liveable if I were by myself where I am. Remember, $65k is either peanuts or fantastic depending on where you live. Being tired is relatable though.
$25k
I made $22k annual

28k in 2011
I was also making 65k at 23. At 28 I now make 150k TC!
At 23 gained 350k through market, at 24 lost it all (account was negative 120k at one point), at 25 account got positive and made 235k ytd. Life is volatile…
Made $21 per hour base $75k 23
24 $104k
25 $130k
The most important thing is don’t get comfortable.
You need to chill, that’s a great salary. I’m 28 and make less than you in Miami.
$72.5k out college. Commercial banking analyst.
Like less then half of that get over yourself
At 23, I was a single parent of 1 making about 25k. The following year I got bumped to $30k. That was late 90s. That 23 yo now make and expect to make 65-85k+ is beyond my thinking. Even the people that had degrees at 23 could only hope to make about 40-50k back then in VA. I think we based it on the market. Today they seem to base it on current COL and then ask for/expect that much. Different times.

23 I was making $24/h at my internship, trying to finish college and working part time.
Now - 25 and I am making $70k, my side gig pays about $10k extra a year.
You can do it!!
I’m 21 making 55k. At 23 I will probably be making the same as you, I’d hope
At 23 I was making 1/15 on what I am making 10 years after. Started from scratches as intern in a bank and asked money to my parents to afford a room shared with another guy. People at this bank were always looking down to me and this gave me the motivation to climb up the ladder, change jobs 5 times and now make more than my first bosses. Keep the motivation high and be hungry!
In ‘99 in a HCOL I made $55k
I made exactly that and that was 2 years ago. I’m 25 now and I make 100K. You will ramp up too
