I went through very bad anxiety and panic attacks recently. It’s been non stop for 3 months. I recovered completely 2 months ago and let me tell you something. Medication will never help you to get rid of anxiety!!!! NEVER! It’s gonna make it even worse. Stop taking them. Your problem is in your emotions and how you react to different situations in you life. Good therapist can help you but only a good one. You should try looking for the one that is really your person. Not all of them are able to help. Cognitive behavioral therapy helps. Also, find the reason that gives anxiety and your task is to change your attitude to that stressful situation. In regards to medication, in order to calm down yourself, I would recommend plant based medications, not chemical based. Just think about it, all those medications fuck up your mind! This is not a joke. Same shit with alcohol...
start thinking about your health mental and physical, everything else doesn’t make any sense at all until you are healthy and with bright mind.
And nobody will help you until you help yourself, believe me. Talk to yourself and take care of yourself.
Also, in regards of physical health, take a blood test to check all the vitamins and micro-elements for possible deficiency, specifically all group B vitamins such as iron, ferritin etc and very important in nervous system is magnesium. I was deficient in all those micro elements when I had panic attacks and anxiety.
Please get well soon!
Best of luck to you! I know how hard this is. Don’t give up!
Consistent meditation. There are some good apps out now if you've never meditated. I really like 10% Happier, Waking Up by Sam Harris is good but pretty wonky and the Android app is glitchy. Headspace is good too and might have a free trial.
You're welcome:)
I went through something very similar to what Build American Mutual 1 went through. Anxiety medication (Xanax) literally rewired my brain to the point I had trouble walking and talking. And Benadryl (which I was taking every night to sleep) affected my short term memory to the point I would forget things while talking. Please stop take medication and alcohol. They are the worst thing you can do to your brain and your body.
I did CBT, neurofeedback, and specific micro-current therapist. I had an army of specialist that literally saved my life: psychiatrist, therapist, neurologist, and holistic psychiatrist. The holistic psychiatrist helped me get over all the meds. She ran a ton of blood tests and figured out all the nutrients and enzymes my body was missing. Once I start taking the things I was missing I got my brain back within a few months. The damage can be undone. Feel free to PM if you want to talk more about the resources that are out there. I wish I would have looked for help much earlier than I did. But I am also beyond thankful for being able to find help and get my health back.
Have you tried therapy?
Here you go! This is one of or main reason for your anxiety. You have to completely change your attitude to this situation or change the workplace to have a normal partner who cares about quality of your work and not about what time you leave the office. This is ridiculous in 2019 world🙄 stop caring what other people think!
Oh man I saw this post and was like wait did I write this? Going through the SAME thing right now. Ok similar none of it's the same for any of us is it. Honestly talking to people, getting support from trusted people at work, journalling, talking to friends, seeing a therapist AND being consistent with my meds have all really helped. So hard to do this all without drinking (even tho I know it really is easier in a lot of ways). Look up clean vs dirty pain if you want an interesting take
