I started at IBM 3 months ago and have had huge amounts of idle time. I am wondering if this is normal for IBM and whether others have turned around and left as a result? I have an external offer and want to take it but I’m worried about perception of leaving so quickly. I’m getting worried as my utilization sits around 50% and I would rather leave than getting fired. I am pregnant and don’t feel pregnant most of the time. I’m only 6 weeks so have to wait awhile before any visual confirmation. And then you worry about all the ones after that before 24 weeks or so. How do you cope? I am trying to be positive. I’ve had a miscarriage before so I’m nervous as well. I try some calming meditation and things like head massages but that lasts an hour tops!!

I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that?
