I was recently let go from my job of 7 years with an organic egg company. We were purchased by private equity and I was the first to be let go by the new SVP of Sales. I worked my way up from Sales Admin to Trade Marketing Manager in a 5 year span. It’s been over a month and I don’t have any solid leads for a new role. I am considering an offer for an AE role (UK-LDN) where the base is £42k & OTE is £70k. The Regional GM has verbally promised to move it up to £50k base if I perform well during the probationary period, but I can’t have it in writing on the contract. One strategy that came up was having the applicant do 90 minutes of cold calling into real prospects with the hiring manager coaching.
